Angel-Boards is a Free Community-based message board system designed by
Tenshi with the original intent of drawing traffic to tanime.net. |
| What are the Specs of Angel-Boards? |
Angel-Boards is written in Notepad, using PHP 4.0 to generate the content which
appears upon its pages, often including dynamically generating the Javascript
that also appears on the pages. While it can be rewritten to support a variety of
SQL-complient databases, it uses PHP's mySQL capabilities linked to a mySQL server.
Modifications can easily be made to allow messages to support text larger than 64K
though this is not advised. Beyond that, the message board continues to gain more
and more functionality as time progresses. |
| How should I behave in any forum on Angel-Boards? |
Ideally, you should behave as you would in any other public area of discussion
and should try to avoid excessive profanity at all times. Such displays are prone
to moderator action and may result in your suspension from participation within the
forum. Pornography is not permitted on any board. This is the Hosts rule, not
Angel-Boards. Excessive flaming should be avoided if possible. |
| What's a good way to get banned? |
Attempts at flooding the server or any forum or any member's personal inbox will
not be tolerated! Harassment via anonymous posting (e.g. Posting as a guest) is
cowardly and could result in getting your computer banned from the forum! Attempts
to reverse-engineer the forum's scripts or break them are also prohibited! Please
be considerate of other visitors and interact with other members in a proper
fashion. |
| How do I change my title? |
You yourself cannot change your title, unless you are a global moderator or the site
administrator. You can PM one of these individuals and request a title change, or increase
your post count, as titles change with your total number of posts. |
| The pages take too long to load... what can I do about that? |
If you're experiencing difficulties with speed, you might be viewing too much text or
formatting information at one time. Here (Preferences >>
Your Account Settings) you can set the amount of *Items* per page that you view. Topics,
posts, etc. all count as 'items'. |
